Eileen A. Loehrke, age 80, of Fremont, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior Jesus, exactly eight years to the day after her husband Eldor, following a courageous battle with cancer. Eileen was born on May 29, 1930, in Weyauwega, the daughter of the late Victor and Jessie (Wolcott) Anthony. On February 16, 1951, Eileen married Eldor Loehrke in Bellville, IL. Together they farmed in the Town of Lind for 20 years. They later owned and operated Loehrke’s Farm Market in Winchester, with their son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Nancy Loehrke. Eldor preceded her in death on May 17, 2003. Eileen worked as a CNA at Bethany Home in Waupaca, and also as courier for ThedaCare for 11 years. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in the Town of Lind. She enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and EAA. Eileen lived life to the fullest. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends. She loved hosting picnics and family get-togethers. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, reading, horses, playing cards, dominoes and cribbage, and she never met a piece of chocolate she didn’t like. Eileen is survived by four children, Bill (Ann) Loehrke, Appleton; Mike (Nancy) Loehrke, Winchester; Vicki (Ken) Koerner, Neenah; and Bob Loehrke, Fremont; six grandchildren, Melanie (John) Lendosky, Viroqua; Justin (Katie) Loehrke, Neenah; Kerry (Chad) Forrest, Larsen; Mike Loehrke, Jr., Oshkosh; Kendra Koerner (Special friend, Nate Collar), Neenah; and Kara Koerner, Neenah; eight great-grandchildren, McKenna, Cody, Nicole and Samantha Forrest; Braden, Kevin and Abigail Lendosky; and Hazel Loehrke; brothers and sisters, Jim (Betty) Anthony, Milwaukee; Pat Boushley (Special friend, Clarence Pethan), Neenah; Lucius “Bud” (Lorelie) Anthony, Wisconsin Rapids; Victor (Chris) Anthony, Waupaca; Rosalie Bednar, Amherst; a special cousin, Francine Behn, Appleton; four sisters-in-law, Gertie Raguse, Boom Bay; Betty Loehrke, Weyauwega; Delores Loehrke, Pine River; Lucinda Loehrke, King; a brother-in-law, Bob (Alice) Loehrke, Winchester; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Kelvin; two sisters, Marian (Harry) Wozny, Margaret (Gerald) Callies; and two brothers-in-law, Reuben Boushley and John Bednar; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ruth (Paul) Timm, Marian (Marvin) Kempf, Vernon, Norman, Elmer, and Herb Loehrke, Arden Tellock and Will Raguse. Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Emmaus Lutheran Church in the Town of Lind. Rev. H. William Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Sunday at the church from 12:00 Noon, until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
