Meshnick, Lillian

Lillian M. Meshnick, age 96, New London, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011, following a lengthy illness. Lillian was born on November 18, 1914, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late William and Lena (Weller) Neihoff. She was a resident of New London most of her life. She enjoyed playing cards, and was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and the parish council of the Catholic Women. Lillian is survived by her children, Ray (Carol) Meshnick, New London; Norbert (Marlene) Meshnick, New London; Mary (Richard) Davis, Los Angeles, CA; Peter Meshnick, Neenah; Ann (Mel) Bonikowske, Manawa; Mark (Kathy) Meshnick, Neillsville, WI.; Daughter in-law, Kay Meshnick, New London; son in-law, Henry Ruthowski, Cicero, IL; Sister in-law, Maryann Burzynski, Milwaukee. Twenty-four grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, a daughter, Helen Ruthkowski, three sons, David, Charles, James and three brothers and four sisters. A Funeral Mass for Lillian was held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London, the Fr. David Lewis officiated. Burial was held in the parish cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, from 4-8 p.m.; a parish rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation was held on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the of service.
