Luke Martin, age 13, and his father Kirt Martin, of Houston Texas, visited New London last week for one day of fishing. Despite difficult fishing conditions and rapidly rising water levels, Luke was able to convince this healthy flathead catfish to take a live sucker rig while fishing from the Taft Park dock. It was their first trip to Wisconsin and first visit to New London. They said they enjoyed the city and would likely come back again for an extended stay. The fish was released.
