A large and festive crowd was on hand to watch the Clintonville Youth League crown its Little League Champions on Thursday, June 30, at Bucholtz Park. In the 11/12 division, Len Ebert & Sons defeated Klein Automotive 8-2 in the semi-final game to earn a spot against #1 seed Koeppen’s Medical Transport in the title game. In the nightcap, Len Ebert & Sons beat Koeppens 5-1, to win the 11/12 Championship. In the 9/10 division, #3 seed Marion Body Works beat Polzin Heating and Electric 20-6 to earn a spot against #1 seed Clintonville Elevator. In the final game of the evening, Clintonville Elevator defeated Marion Body Works 12-2, to win the 9/10 Championship. The Championship in the 7/8 Coach Pitch division was claimed by the Orange team, who finished with a record of 8-1. Congratulations to all the Clintonville Youth League Champions, players and coaches. The Clintonville Youth League will be honoring all its players, parent and sponsors with its season ending picnic on July 25, 6 p.m., at Bucholtz Park. The youth league will supply the hot dogs and drinks, while the families are asked to bring a dish to pass. There will be free swimming at the Clintonville City pool from 8-9 p.m.
