James “Jim” L. Feck, age 79, of Weyauwega, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on June 7, 1932 son of the late Louis and Marjorie (Code) Feck. He was the youngest of three children, a brother to Bill and his late sister Mary Lou. Jim grew up in Edina, MN until he entered the United States Air Force in 1951. He was stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Litchfield, AZ. It is here where he met the love of his life, Greta Joan Ladd. They were married June 5, 1954. Together they raised their three children: James Lee Feck (Elena), Valhalla, NY; Steven Dale Feck (Angie), Peoria, AZ; Donna Kay Anacker Skaar (Bud), Weyauwega. They spent 44 wonderful years together before she passed away in 1998. Jim was blessed with five grandchildren: Codi Michelle Bachaus, Manawa; Justin John Michael Bachaus (Marissa), Havelock, NC; Patrick James Anacker, Weyauwega; Brandon Lee Feck, Peoria, AZ; Amanda Grace Feck, Peoria, AZ; and three great-grandchildren: Kylie, Bailey and Addysen Mitchell. Jim relocated to Weyauwega 8 years ago to be closer to his family. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed trips to the casino, grilling for his family and working daily in his salsa garden. His homemade salsa was loved by many. Jim will be dearly missed by many friends and family and his faithful four legged companions Oscar and Sam.

The funeral service for Jim was held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega. Friends called directly at the funeral home on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. He was laid to rest next to his wife Greta at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.
