Nolan, Daniel M.

Daniel M. Nolan age 57, of Manawa, died Sunday, July 3, 2011. Daniel was born in New London, Wisconsin on July 19, 1953, the son of the late Edward and Florence (Burton) Nolan.
On June 25, 1977, Dan married his wife, Deborah Frederick in New London, Wisconsin and was blessed with three children. Dan walked everyday and loved to fish, however, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially watching and coaching his children play sports. Dan was extremely active within the Manawa Community. He was a member of the Manawa Jaycees, held various offices on the church council and the city board, and currently was serving as president on the school board. Dan is survived by his wife, Deborah; sons, Mark (Jennifer) Nolan and Bill (Jena) Nolan; daughter, Sara Nolan; brothers, Glenn (Sharon) Christianson, Kevin (Robin) Nolan, and P.J. (Chris) Nolan; sister, Jeanne (Jim) Buschke; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brother. Dan graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1971 and then accepted employment at Harley Davidson. He worked there until he purchased Lloyds of Manawa, running the business from 1977 until 1982. Dan then returned to school, receiving an Associates Degree in Accounting from Fox Valley Technical College. Throughout the years Dan worked as an accountant for Waupaca County Highway Department, Sara Lee, and at Quality Concrete from 1983 until the present. He also held various other accounting positions throughout the years. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa, the Rev. Brian Belongia officiated. Family and friends visited at Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
