Robbed and ignored

I was a victim of robbery two days ago at my work. I gave the name to the officer in charge of my case. He was going into his 4 days off the following day. So I have to wait till he returns to work till anything is done, and when I contacted the police to see if any progress was made I was told that nothing can be done till the officer returns and that “(I’m) not the only victim of a crime right now”. So now I know where I stand. I do hope I’m not an inconvenient victim anytime, ever again.
