Byron A. Lembcke, age 83, of Waupaca, WI., passed away on Sunday, August 7th, 2011 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. He was born in Appleton, WI., on May 18, 1928, a son of the late Arthur and Amanda (Schneider) Lembcke.
Byron married Virginia Dorman on April 28, 1951 in Appleton. They spent 57 years together. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2008. Byron spent his childhood working in the family cheese factory at Hwy 15 and Manley Road in Hortonville. He attended St. Paul Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota for one year. He then worked for Wisconsin Wire Works from March 3, 1947 until his retirement in May 1990. Survivors include his Children: Bruce (Marti) Lembcke, Appleton, WI; Nancy (Bruce) Meyer, Minnetrista, MN; Todd (Sheila) Lembcke, Waupaca, WI; Grandchildren: Christopher Lembcke, Madison, WI. and Tyler Lembcke, Appleton, WI; Mandi, Erik & Jared Meyer, Minnetrista, MN; Joshua, Jordan, Justin, Jarrett & Isabella Lembcke, Waupaca, WI. Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Funeral Services were held at Appleton Alliance Church, Appleton, at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011, with Reverend Dick Schaefer officiating. Interment was in Spencer Lake Memorial Park Town Lind, Waupaca Co., WI. Visitation was held on Wednesday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
