Zawacki, Joshua J.

Joshua J. Zawacki, of Waupaca, age 33, passed away unexpectedly at home, after a tough battle with thyroid and depression. He was born in Waupaca on January 4, 1978. Josh had attended Waupaca High School. He was a cook at the Wisconsin Veterans Home. Josh loved skateboarding, snowboarding, reading and bird watching. He will be sadly missed by his mother: Debbie (Jack) Phippen of Waupaca; his very special friend: Emmy Heiser and their animal family, dog: Juniper, cats: Iggie, Callie and Mar and guinea pig; grandparents: Harold and Barb Zawacki of Waupaca; Emmy’s parents: Rick and Barb Heiser of Waupaca; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, with Pastor Philip Thompson officiating. The visitation was on Thursday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial is in Lakeside Cemetery.
