Bella Salon opens in Wolf River Plaza

Erin Bobber has opened her own salon, located in the Wolf River Plaza, downtown, next to Hong Kong Buffet. Bobber, who is proud of her Italian heritage, named her new business Bella Salon (bella means beautiful in Italian). She says it’s a place where clients can feel comfortable. A clean, affordable salon, Bobber says she wants everyone to feel welcome here.

Comfort comes in the form of cushy furnishings, dark wood styling stations, and a happy staff. Three stylists are currently at the salon, including Bobber, who has 10 years of experience. Janet Prey has 37 years experience and Krissy Richardson has two years experience.

Offering haircuts and styling, hair coloring, perms, feather hair extensions, manicures and pedicures and tanning, the salon is well rounded. Bobber says that in the future she looks forward to hiring an aesthetician to do facials, body waxing and makeup for special occasions.

“We have plenty of space here for two more stylists, too,” says Bobber.

Private rooms hold the waxing, pedicure, tanning and eventually aesthetician services.

With haircuts starting at $16, color at $45, perms at $55, manicures at just $10 and pedicures just $25, Bobber hopes to bring in customers who can afford the prices. “I don’t want to price myself out of the market; I’d rather have more people come in. We enjoy helping customers with their styling decisions.”

Bobber says she couldn’t have remodeled her new salon without the help of her parents, Alison and Wayne Fontecchio. Wayne owns Ace Industrial Tech here in town and his certified electrician helped with wiring and lights, and her parents completed many other projects around the shop.

Bella Salon is open from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday by appointment. Bobber hopes to develop regular Saturday hours as customers increase. Call Bella Salon at 920-982-5044.
