Bruce M. Allen, age 61, New London died on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Bruce was born on August 3, 1950, in Clintonville son of Ivan and Billie Jean (O’Bright) Allen. He was a 1968 graduate of New London High School. Bruce enjoyed working with wood and was a self employed carpenter by trade. He is survived by mother, Billie Jean Allen, New London; daughter, Alicia (fiance, Dan Meagher), Minneapolis; ex-wife, Terri Allen, New London; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Bobbye Allen, New London and a niece, Tina (Kevin) Clegg, New London. Bruce is further survived by numerous brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan; sister, Bonnie; nephew, Timothy; Mother-in-law, Rhona Clappes and a sister-in-law, Sally Clappes. Funeral services for Bruce were held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, New London with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Visitation was held Sunday, from 1-4 p.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London and at the church Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
