CWC volleyball pool play starts Oct. 8

The top two volleyball teams out of the Central Wisconsin 8 and 10 conferences will host pool play Saturday, Oct. 8. In the CWC 8, No. 3 seed Weyauwega-Fremont and No. 7 Iola-Scandinavia will join No. 6 Manawa at No. 2 Stevens Point Pacelli, while top-seeded Wittenberg-Birnamwood will host No. 4 Shiocton, No. 5 Bonduel and No. 8 Amherst in Wittenberg. In the CWC 10, No. 1 Tigerton will host No. 9 Almond-Bancroft, No. 4 Wild Rose, No. 8 Gresham and No. 5 Port Edwards, while No. 2 Menominee Indian will host No. 6 Marion, No. 3 Rosholt, No. 7 Plainfield Tri-County and No. 10 Bowler in Keshena. Matches are scheduled to get under way at 10 a.m., with the five highest seeds in each conference to play at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, with the highest seed hosting the match.
