If spending not cut, we’re headed for financial ruin

In a report by its inspector general, it is shown the U. S. Justice Department has been living high on tax money. Serving muffins at $16 each, coffee at $8 per cup, Cracker Jacks, candy and popcorn at $32 per person, ice cream at $10 per person and so on. They staged another conference in Palm Springs. for which they flew in an event planner from Anchorage, Alaska at least three times.

The Office of Violence Against Women spent grants of $600,000 for event planning for five conferences.

The U.S. government owes $14 trillion. That’s about $50,000 each for every man, woman and child in the U.S.A. When the price of borrowing goes up, we will go under trying to make payments on this debt. We cannot solve the problem by taxing more.

If we took every cent of income from those making $250,000 or more, it only amounts to $1.4 trillion. That’s about what our annual deficit is. If we took every bit of the net worth of every billionaire, it amounts to only $1.3 trillion.

We are headed for financial ruin unless Washington can make drastic reductions in spending. No one has even proposed the type of spending cuts that will be needed because they all want to be re-elected. Contact your resprentatives.

Meanwhile, we keep giving money to the U.N. and International Monetary Fund so they can give it to countries like Greece and Spain who have failed to cut spending. In other words, we are borrowing money from China so we can give money away to other countries. Many of these countries don’t even like us, and giving them our money has not changed that fact.

The U.S. government needs to reduce spending by 43 percent just to balance next year’s budget. That is why the Senate has not produced a budget in two years (in violation of the law). Harry Reid and his accomplices don’t even want to discuss the overspending they have done and want to continue.
