Honor Our Military Kids

Our Military Kids is a great organization. Both of my children recieved grants for activities while my husband was deployed…both times! They also sponsor summer camps for kids who have parents deployed. It is a great way to show support, many people put together care packages for troops overseas, although thoughtful, their kids who are left behind sacrifice A LOT and are often forgotten.

November 9, 2011 is Give to the Max Day in Washington, DC. It’s a 24-hour event that encourages people to donate to charities in the nation’s capital. The idea behind Give to the Max Day is that if everyone makes a small donation, it will make a very big difference.

Our Military Kids is the only military children’s charity participating in Give to the Max Day. We hope that you will pass this email along to your friends, family, coworkers, or any of your personal networks. Explain to them the impact Our Military Kids had on your children, and ask them to make a small donation.

The process is simple. To participate, all you have to do is wait for November 9. Then, on that Wednesday, click here and make a donation. We want as many people to donate as possible. If everyone donates $10, it will ensure that many more children will be eligible to receive grants from Our Military Kids.

Our Military Kids will be posting to its Facebook and Twitter feeds on November 9 to encourage donations and spread the word about contests and competitions going on each hour. Please help us Give to the Max on November 9!
