Markiesa Westphal, daughter of mark and Theresa Westphal, has been named Clintonville High School’s Student of the Week, sponsored by the Clintonville Rotary Club.
Westphal has been very active in volleyball, basketball, softball, track, Student Council, Mixed and Chamber Choir, and Varsity Show Choir. She also participated in “No Second Chances”, a drinking and driving prevention video. Additionally, she served as a Badger Girls State delegate, class president, and Student Council treasurer. She is an Honor Roll student and Voice of Democracy speech award winner.
Outside school, Westphal is a Sunday school teacher and is a member of her church’s youth group. She attended National Youth Gathering and had gone on a mission trip with her youth group. She is also involved in various community service projects through her church and Student Council. Westphal also participated in the Rotary Summer Exchange program.
After high school, Westphal plans to attend a four-year college in Wisconsin to earn a degree in education or biology.
