Clintonville teen charged with battery

William E. Davidson Jr., 18, Clintonville, was charged Nov. 8 with battery and bail jumping.

On Oct. 25, a student at Clintonville High School reported that Davidson punched him several times in the face after the two collided during a game of flag-tag in the gym. The student required four stitches.

Davidson has been in and out of court due to multiple criminal complaints for more than a year.

On Dec. 3, 2010, Davidson appeared in Waupaca County Circuit Court on nine felony counts of sexual assault of a child and nine counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. Two months earlier he had entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with the district attorney’s office on a disorderly conduct charge. He was released from custody on Dec. 3 on a $1,000 signature bond with the condition that he not commit any crimes and avoid contact with two girls, ages 13 and 12.

On Jan. 14, Davidson returned to court on a new felony case involving five counts of sexual assault of a child, plus bail jumping. He was released from custody on a $5,000 signature bond with the condition that he not commit any crimes and avoid any contact with two girls, ages 16 and 14.

On Feb. 7, Davidson faced new charges of criminal damage to property and bail jumping. He was released on a $2,000 signature bond.

On Aug. 22, Davidson appeared in court again, this time on charges of false imprisonment, child enticement, sexual assault of a child and bail jumping. He was released on a $10,000 signature bond with the condition that he have no unsupervised contact with minors and remain at home except when attending class. On Aug. 31, the bond was amended to allow Davidson to participate in extracurricular wrestling activities.
