The annual Live Lights Celebration will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Iola Living Assistance (ILA).
The public is invited to celebrate the season by remembering someone special with Love Lights.
After the program, the Hitterdahl Community Choir will lead a traditional Christmas carol sing-along, followed by a tea with cookies and refreshments. A bake sale will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the lounge. Those wishing to donate baked goods for the sale should bring them to ILA by 4 p.m.
Attendees can sign up for a door prize drawing for a chance to win a Christmas centerpiece.
Family and friends who have passed awaly can be memorialized with Love Lights that will shine on a tree in front of the Iola Living Assistance Campus located at 185 South Chet Krause Dr. An indoor tree will be decorated with ornaments displaying the loved one’s name.
Proceeds from Love Lights will support the ILA Wish List Foundation. This year, the goal is to raise needed funds to update resident bathrooms.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to “Love Lights” may send a check to: Iola Living Assistance, Inc. “Love Lights”, PO Box 237, Iola WI 54945. Donors should indicate if they are purchasing individual lights at $5, $10, $25, $50, or other amount, or a string of lights at $75, $100, or other amount. Include name, address, and indicate if the gift is in memory or in honor of a loved one along with their name(s). Donations may also be brought to the business office at 185 South Chet Krause Dr., Iola. The deadline for being recognized in the program is Dec. 2.
