Weir, Barbara A.

Barbara A. Weir, age 67, of 9431 Reifs Mills Road, Whitelaw, past away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, November 27, 2011. She was born on April 2, 1944 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Albert and Mae (Belz) Pollen. Barbara was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On June 19, 1965 she married Kenneth Weir Sr. in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1986. Barbara was a member of Faith Community Church and volunteered at the Senior Center in Weyauwega and also cooked at Spencer Lake Bible Camp. Barbara enjoyed crafts, bird watching, cooking and her grandchildren. Survivors include her long time loving friend and companion, Glen Miller, Whitelaw; a son and daughter-in-law: R. Michael and Mary Beth Weir, Brandon, Wisconsin; and three sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia (Ernie) Van Frachen, Tulsa, OK; Pamela (Terry) Willis, Fond du Lac; and Diana (Donald) Cameron, Newton. Also surviving are many loving grandchildren, nieces, a great nephew, and a great grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Weir; a sister, Donna Goeke and a niece, Kim Marie Goeke. Funeral Services are being held at 11:00 a.m. today, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Faith Community Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service is Pastor Jeremy Vance with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The family greeted relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
