Harnack, James A.

James A. Harnack, 67, of Waupaca passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 14th. Proud Vietnam War veteran (U. S.M.C.) and Professor of Philosophy, James is survived by son Murphy (Nicole) Harnack and step-children James (Michelle) Felder and Mary Burke. He was preceded in death by step-daughter Lynn M. Felder. A memorial gathering was held at A.J. Holly and Sons in Waupaca Friday, Dec. 16th. Jim’s list of residences includes Salida, CO where he was honored with the Sexiest Man Alive award two years in a row. (It should be noted that Jim was a resident of Salida for just two years). Jim will be missed at this year’s upcoming family reunion where he was always guaranteed to win half of the prizes. Most recently Jim spent a lot of time with his extended family and friends at Nelson’s Strikezone in Waupaca where he was loved and cared for. (Tremendous love and gratitude go out to you all). His jokes and stories will truly be missed. Sleep well Dad. I’m really going to miss you. “Life’s tough. A man’s lucky if he makes it out alive” -James A.
