Steichen, Alan B.

Alan Brady Steichen, age 57 of Clintonville, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on February 8, 1954 in Streator, IL, he was the son of William and Doris (Kline) Steichen. After high school, Alan attended the University of WI-LaCrosse for two years and graduated from Joilet College in 1976. He moved on to Kissimmee, Florida where he served as superintendent of Falcon’s Fire Golf Course. In January 2007 he returned to Clintonville where he became the sole owner of Riverside Golf Course. Including golf he also had a passion for ice fishing with his brothers, nieces, nephews, and friends as well as enjoying hunting, sports, and spending time with his family and friends. Alan is survived by: his 3 daughters, Jamie Steichen, Stacy (Andy) Hooyman, Steffany (fiance Zack Marshall) Steichen; a granddaughter, Sofia; his parents, William and Doris Steichen of Shawano; a sister, Barbara (Mark) Wawrzyn of Green Bay; and 3 brothers, Robert (Geraldine) Steichen of Cecil, Brent Steichen of Shawano, and Brian Steichen of Shawano; 5 nieces and 4 nephews. Memorial services were held at 5:30pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Len Evers officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2pm until the time of the service. You will forever be an amazing father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
