Jansen, Wayne

Wayne Charles Jansen, age 72 of Waupaca, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 18, 1939 in Little Chute to Sylvester and Coletta (Hartjes) Jansen. On September 19, 1956, Wayne married Barb Nelsen in Waupaca. Wayne truly enjoyed life. He enjoyed crop farming and tractors, a day at the casino, but most of all, spending time with his family. Wayne is survived by his wife, Barb; children: Jeff (Dawn), Joe (Bonnita), Julie (Mike), Jim (Candy); grandchildren: Jered, Erin, Olivia, Sabrina, Ryan, Eric, Justin, Ashley; great grandchildren, Brynn and Damon; siblings: Janet (Elmer), Marlene, Curly, Tony (Joanne), Pat (Warren), Mike (Mary), Rose (Bill), Jack, Paul, Deb (Mike); aunt, Eunie and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David and sister, Mary. Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at A.J. Holly & Sons Funeral Home, Waupaca. A memorial service was held following the visitation led by Pastor Gene Gauerke. Honorary pallbearers were Ted Nelsen, Mike Nelsen, Jason Nickel, Mouse Schroeder, Dallas Reetz and Tuffy Temple.
