The Xavier Hawks handed the Truckers a 53-78 loss on Thursday, Jan. 5.
Xavier outscored Clintonville 24-7 in the first quarter and 21-11 in the second quarter. The Truckers managed to score 14 points in the third quarter to keep pace with the Hawks in that frame, and outscored Xavier 21-19 in the fourth quarter.
Clintonville was led by Aaron Ziemer and Michael Fisher who scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Jesse Brauer scored eight, while John Schultz added six. Xavier Fletcher tallied four. Keaton Anderson and Nathaniel Krueger both scored three, while Kolin Kubitz, Tyler Sawall, Bryce Schoen and Adam Weatherwax all scored two.
The Truckers play at home on Tuesday, Jan. 24. Opening tip is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
