Steckbauer elected to First State Bank Board

Attorney Keith A. Steckbauer was elected to the board of directors of First State Bank at the annual stockholders meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Steckbauer has practiced law for 18-1/2 years and has been self-employed with Steckbauer Law S.C. in the Town of Dale since 2004. He is a graduate of St. Norbert College and completed his law degree with the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1993. He is a member of the State Bar’s General Practice Section Board of Directors and is the current vice president of the Waupaca County Bar Association. Steckbauer has served on the School District of New London School Board of Directors since 2007 and as its president for the past two years. Additionally, Steckbauer serves on the board of directors for the New London Girls Youth Softball, is a member of the Dale Area Leaders & Entrepreneurs (D.A.L.E.), and is involved with the committee for Boy Scout Troop 36. He and his wife, Jodi, reside in Dale with their two children.

In other action at the meeting, two staff member promotions were also approved. Mary A. Griffin was promoted to assistant vice president. Griffin has been with First State Bank for over 15 years and has been the consumer banking manager of the bank’s Manawa office since 2008. Sara B. Stenz was promoted to assistant vice president. Stenz has been the bank’s accounting and finance manager since January 2011.

The following directors were re-elected to First State Bank’s board of directors: Paul G. Bernegger, Michael L. Coppersmith, Charles N. Klein, Paul J. Noel, Harry A. Radix, Kent L. Rusch, Marvin F. Schneider, and Jeffrey J. Werner.

Officers who were re-elected at the annual meeting are: Harry A. Radix, president and chief executive officer; Maureen G. Jorgensen, senior vice president/consumer banking, Michael K. Sullivan, senior vice president/administration and operations; Robert J. Van Asten, senior vice president/credit administration; Kim I. Ellingson, vice president/human resources; Brenda L. Hansen, vice president/marketing; Peter J. Kurth, vice president/business banking; Timothy F. Pritzl, vice president/business banking; Tod N. Severson, vice president/business banking; Jon L. Majerus, assistant vice president/consumer banking manager of the Clintonville bank; Constance R. Rust, assistant vice president/consumer banking manager in New London; Pamela K. Buttles, loan operations officer; Janelle K. Donaldson, deposit operations officer; Dennis D. Federwitz, information technology officer; John D. Lockwood, consumer banking manager of the Waupaca bank; Terrah L. Miller, consumer banking manager of the Dale bank; Susie J. Okrasinski, operations and training officer; Ann M. Kallies, consumer banking manager of the Cecil bank; Carrie C. Willes, consumer banking officer in New London; and Sandy K. Zahn, controller.

In his comments to the stockholders, Radix reported total assets of the bank were $283 million as of Dec. 31, 2011.
