Bowersox, Etola ?Toni?

Etola “Toni” Bowersox, Waupaca, Wisconsin, age 93, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at her home in Waupaca, WI. She was born July 10, 1918 in Waupaca, WI; daughter of Herbert and Alta (Beadleston) Quimby. In September 1957, Toni married James Bowersox in Waupaca, WI. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2010. Toni was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post # 1037 of Waupaca and the Riverside Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary where she would do needlework to sell. Toni was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waupaca where both she and Jim were Sunday School Teachers for many years. Toni is survived by: daughter, Kathleen Hadley of Sturgeon Bay, WI; son, Gary (Louise) Hansen of Stuart, VA; daughter-in-law, Susan Hansen of Waupaca, WI; grandchildren: James (Shelly) Hansen, Michelle (Mike) Reader, Chad (Jenny) Hansen, Luke Hadley, Josh (Melissa) Hadley, Rick (Joyce) Hansen, and Ron (Peri) Hansen. Also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Alta Quimby; her husband, James Bowersox; her son, James Hansen, Sr.; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Rosalie Hansen; four brothers, Francis, Clifford, Jack, and Billie Quimby; and four sisters, Eloise Czerwinski, Meta Ciura, Betty Bouck, and Beverly Tessen. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at the First United Methodist Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Cathy J.N. Weigand will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 – 12:00 PM at the church. A memorial has been established in the name of Etola “Toni” Bowersox.
