President should uphold laws, not own agenda

Dear Mr. President,

With all due respect, what are you thinking? How can a person who has sworn to uphold the Constitution of these United States show such blatant disregard for the religious liberty of its citizens? With the rules your administration if proposing for the mandatory inclusion of sterilization and contraception in the health care laws, you have not only told the millions of Catholics in this country – a full 24 percent of the people you are sworn to defend – that their beliefs don’t warrant respect or consideration under the Constitution of the United States, you have offended every person, of any, or no religion, who deems human life to be a precious gift, not a disease to be “prevented.”

What is next? Who is next? Are we to wear yellow stars on our sleeves? Is mandating that the citizens of this country purchase a product that violates their conscience in this matter only a precursor to something else? Again, read the Bill of Rights.

Sir, our nation is ruled according to laws, and those laws, according to our founding fathers, were given to man by their creator. It is pretty obvious from your lack of religious observance that your creator means very little to you, but he means a great deal to the majority of the people in this country. Perhaps we need a leader who more fully understands that he has sworn to uphold the laws of this country, not his own agenda.
