The Trucker boys fell by a score of 43-51 to the Freedom Irish on Thursday, Feb. 2.
Clintonville led 15-12 after one quarter and held a 22-19 advantage at halftime. The Irish outscored the Truckers 9-8 in the third quarter and 23-13 in the final frame to capture the win.
Xavier Fletcher led Clintonville with 15 points, while Jesse Brauer scored 12 and Aaron Ziemer added eight. Kolin Kubitz scored five and John Schultz tallied three for the Truckers.
Clintonville made 18 of 50 field goals (36 percent) and 5 of 22 3-point attempts (22 percent). The Truckers had eight assists and 10 steals while turning the ball over eight times. The team pulled down 24 rebounds, nine of them on the offensive end.
The boys play at home on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:15 p.m.
