Pope, Phyllis J.

Phyllis J. Pope, age 86, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 5th, 2012 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah, WI. She was born in Town of Belmont, Portage Co., WI, on April 12, 1925, a daughter of the late Allen and Mary (Sawyer) Guyant. She married Paul E. Pope on September 15, 1945 in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., WI. Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Pope, Waupaca, WI; children: Susan (Lee) Halverson, Iola, WI; Willis (Pat) Pope, Waupaca, WI; Connie (Robert) Andraschko, Waupaca, WI; Gay (Kent) Romeis, Stateline, NV; Kay (Daniel) Stocker, Waupaca, WI; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; sister, Alice (Leon) Pastalan, Whitmore Lake, MI; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Sawyer, Middleton, WI. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Phyllis was also preceded in death by her adopted parents Dale and Olive Sawyer, brothers: Wayne (Alta) Guyant, Norman (Charlotte) Sawyer, Don Sawyer and a sister Mildred (Joe) Frank. A Memorial Service will be held at the Bethany Home Chapel in Waupaca on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1:30 PM. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the Bethany Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Phyllis J. Pope. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
