The Clintonville Trucker wrestling team finished fifth out of seven teams in regional competition at Seymour on Saturday, Feb. 11.
Clintonville had the following wrestlers finish in the top five: Kelsey Raasch placed fifth at 113, Payton Dimick placed third at 132, Coy Hansen placed fifth at 152, Charlie Poppe placed third at 170, Jake Reiter placed second at 195 and Lucas Carrigg placed third at 220.
The top two finishers in each weight class qualify for sectionals. This year the Truckers are sending Reiter to sectionals. Sectionals will be at the Waupaca High School next Saturday, Feb. 18.
Reiter’s first opponent will be Bryce Chaney from Winneconne. eiter previously wrestled Chaney at the Eastern Valley Conference Championship in Freedom, where he placed second, losing to Chaney 7-3.
