Fochs, Donald Francis

Donald Francis Fochs, of Scandinavia, age 70, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his home with his family at his side. Donald was born on February 6, 1942 in Wausau the son of Francis and Ellen (Schilling) Fochs. On July 6, 1963 he married Audrey Rasmussen at King Chapel. Donald had his own business in Neenah, WI for 14 years. In 1976, he and his family moved to Scandinavia, where he resided until his death. He was maintenance supervisor at Sturm Foods for 23 years. At which time, he started his consulting business, A & D Concepts, traveling to Minnesota, Illinois and Georgia. His hobbies included hunting, motorcycle riding, playing cards, traveling, country music, polka dancing and spending time with his family and friends. Donald always enjoyed playing tricks and sharing a good joke. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Audrey; father, Francis “Bud” Fochs of Wausau, children: Mark (Pam) of Plover, WI; Norma Jean (Patrick) of Scandinavia; Matthew (Teresa) of Scandinavia; four grandchildren: Zachary, Jordan, Dyani and Cole; 9 brothers and sisters: Doris Meyer-Tews of FL, Ann Tambornino of Wausau, Mary (Fidelis) Ceranski of Marathon, Kay (Robert) Krause of Edgar, Jean (John) Westfall of Marathon, Charles (Nancy) Fochs of Lyndon Station, Grace (James) Gumz of Athens, James (Janelle) Fochs of Marathon, and Robert (Mary) Fochs of Mosinee, he is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gertrude and Anton Rasmussen and three brothers-in-law, Orv Tews, Ray Meyer and Lew Edminster. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Scandinavia Lutheran Church, with Pastor Mark Sabin officiating. The visitation will be on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca and again on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established.
