Ambrowiak, Nancy Manny DeGodt

Nancy Manny DeGodt Ambrowiak, age 64, of Waupaca passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Bethany Home under the care of Hospice. Nancy was born in Waupaca on June 24, 1947, the daughter of Walter and Beulah (Woolsey) Manny. On June 25, 1966, Nancy married Jay DeGodt in Waupaca and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1986. Later she married Paul Ambrowiak and he also preceded her in death in 1999. Nancy worked for many years as a nursing assistant at the Wisconsin Veterans Home. She also had worked at Ting Bottling Co. and Zwickers Knitting. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, hunting, cooking, sewing and especially bowling. She is a member of Crystal Lake United Methodist Church and a member of the VFW Post 1037 Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy is survived by her children: Tracy (Robert) Riemer of Elkhart Lake, WI; Jason (Wendy) DeGodt of Waupaca; Jesse DeGodt of Waupaca and Tammy (Dan) Kempf of Manawa; 6 grandchildren: Jason DeGodt Jr, Matea and Amanda DeGodt, Katie Mortenson, Rodney Kempf and Holly Marquardt; her mother, Beulah Faehling of Waupaca; her sister, Pamela (Bill) Pomerenke of Scandinavia; her brother, William (Laura) Manny of Waupaca and a son at heart, Jason Ayres of Waupaca; a nephew, James Manny and a niece, Dawn (Dean) Cornelius. She was also preceded in death by her father Walter H. Manny and step-father Lewis Faehling. The Memorial Service will be on Monday, March 5 at 5 PM at the Crystal Lake United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeffrey S. Fletcher, officiating. Interment of cremains will be later in the Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 5 PM at the church. Memorials in Nancy’s name appreciated to Crystal Lake Methodist Church. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
