Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated

Two more games played, and two more victories for the New London girls’ basketball team.

On Friday, Feb. 24 they rolled over Oconto Falls by a score of 61-33. On Tuesday, Feb. 21 they downed West De Pere by a score of 66-32.

New London jumped on Oconto Falls early and often, taking a 20-8 at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Panthers held their own in the second quarter, being outscored by only three points.

The Lady Bulldogs held the Lady Panthers to single digit points in the third and fourth quarters, while they scored 13 points in each of those quarters.

Tara Knapstein led the team in scoring with 14 points. Bridget Pethke and Morgan Steinert each scored 10 points.

West De Pere also proved to be no match for New London on Tuesday night.

The Lady Bulldogs wasted no time in taking control of the game, outscoring the Phantoms 17-10 in the first quarter. New London scored only 10 points in the second quarter but held West De Pere to only five points.

West De Pere was held to only 17 points in the second half, while New London scored 22 points in the third quarter and 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Pethke led New London with 16 points, followed closely by Brenna Heise with 15. Knapstein scored 9 points.
