A huge first quarter for the Clintonville boys’ basketball team gave them a 21-5 lead after the first quarter against Waupaca. The game on Tuesday, Feb. 21 was Clintonville’s final conference game of the season.
Waupaca scored nine points in each of the final three quarters, and outscored Clintonville 27-25 during that span. The early deficit was too much for the Comets to overcome, as the Truckers cruised to a 46-12 win.
John Schultz led the Truckers in scoring with 13 points, followed by Aaron Ziemer with 12 points and Xavier Fletcher with 10 points. Schultz also led the team with eight rebounds and six assists.
