Head Start taking applications

CAP Services’ Waupaca Head Start program is now accepting applications for the 2012-13 school year.

Head Start is a learning and development program for families with children ages 3 to 4 years old.

Head Start provides educational, health, nutritional, emotional and social services for each child, including those with special needs, and offers support and family development services to all family members.

Both center-based and home-based programs are available, as well as programs for pregnant mothers and children under age 3.

To schedule an appointment to enroll, parents should call the Waupaca Head Start Center at 715-258-9575, ext. 208.

Enrollment for children from the Waupaca, Rural, Weyauwega, Fremont, Ogdensburg and Iola-Scandinavia areas will be held at the Waupaca Head Start Center, 101 Tower Rd, Waupaca, the weeks of March 5-8 and 12-15. An appointment is necessary.

Families must meet federally established income guidelines and are asked to bring income verification to their appointment. Families whose children have a documented disability are also encouraged to apply.
