Clyde E. Nitzke, age 70, of Poy Sippi, WI, passed away on Monday, March 5th, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Berlin, WI, on March 24, 1941, son of the late Ebert and Margaret (Hanson) Nitzke. He married Judith L. Tomashek on May 12, 1962, they had five children together and later divorced. Clyde married Cheryl Koplien on December 4, 1981 in Poy Sippi. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi. Clyde owned and operated Clyde Nitzke Trucking. He was a member of the American Truck Historical Society – Southern Wisconsin Chapter, the National Rifle Association and was a lifetime member of OOIDA. Clyde loved hunting, fishing, truck shows and was a collector of almost everything. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Nitzke, Poy Sippi, WI; 5 children: Paul Nitzke, Fond du Lac, WI; Lori (fiance – Bill Clark) O’Kon, Medford, WI; Mike (friend – Lori Janes) Nitzke, Poy Sippi, WI; John Nitzke, Berlin, WI; Scott Nitzke, Poy Sippi, WI; 3 step-children: Gene Willis, Poy Sippi, WI; Chris Willis, Poy Sippi, WI; Jaime (fiance – Troy Jacoby) Lee, Shorewood, WI; 13 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and best friend – his dog Rascal. Funeral Services will be held at First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi at 11 AM on Saturday, March 10th, 2012, with Reverend David Sielaff, officiating. Interment will be in the Poy Sippi Cemetery, Town Poy Sippi, Waushara Co., WI. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4 until 8 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi and on Saturday, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
