‘I Survived the 1.5’ T-shirts for sale

Clintonville Mayor Judy Magee has ordered “I Survived the 1.5” t-shirts to be sold in the community and beyond.

The shirts say “I Survived the 1.5” across the front, with “March 20, 2012 Clintonville, Wisconsin” on the sleeve.

“This event has been something that has brought this community together,” Magee said. “For one week we stood in the spot light of the entire nation. We showed the media and people visiting that we have a great community. While we struggled to find solutions people showed strength and patience. This is not something that anyone planned or wants to experience; however it is times like these that we can show that we are proud to be a great town with charm and personality.

“These shirts are not meant to make light of the situation but to show unity,” stated Magee.

The amount charged for the t-shirt will include a moderate upcharge. The Mayor, after sales are complete, will decide on something to use the money for to beautify or enhance the City of Clintonville.

“We can learn from this experience and make our community even better,” commented Magee. “Flyers on ways to prepare for situations like earthquakes will be given out with each purchase.”

T-shirts in adult sizes small-XL will be sold for $10; sizes 2X and 3X will be sold for $12 each. T-shirts will also be available in youth sizes for $10. Standard colors are red, green and pink.

Order forms will be distributed to students and will be available at City Hall. T-shirts can also be ordered by going to http://www.clintonvillewi.org/Isurvivedtshirts.htm
