Kluever, Joyce

Joyce Kluever, age 85, New London died peacefully following a brief illness at Heritage Hospice, Appleton on Thursday, March 29, 2012. Joyce was born in West Bend, WI on September 8, 1926, daughter of the late Willard and Esther (Schrupp) Ickstadt. On August 13, 1949, she was united in marriage to Cyril “Cy” Kluever; he preceded her in death on October 25, 2010. They shared 61 years together. She enjoyed bowling, golf, was an avid Packers and Brewers fan and a charter member of the Grandview Golf Course, Hortonville. Joyce maintained her sense of humor, quick wit and sharp personality until the end. Joyce is survived by a daughter, Kay (Bill) Olson, Appleton; two sons, Ken (Carie) Kluever, Eagle River and Kris (Julaine) Kluever, New London; seven grandchildren: Katy (fiance, Mark Esch), Kory, and Mary Olson, Zach and Austin Kluever and Grayson and Holden Kluever. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, a sister and a nephew. Funeral services for Joyce were held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Visitation was held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to New L.A.S.S. (1700 Klatt Road, New London, WI 54961).
