FFA members attend conferences

Some members of the Weyauwega-Fremont FFA Chapter recently attended a national leadership conference, while others attended the Wisconsin EDGE Conference.

Attending the 212° Leadership Conference March 23 and 24 were Lexie Smith, Taylor Miller and Liz Hillskotter.

The conference is an activity of the National FFA Organization, sponsored by Syngenta and Crop Production Services as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.

The two-day program helped FFA members become aware of the four categories of growth while discovering the importance of pursuing life-long growth.

They attended sessions on discovering how habits affect growth, the difference between personal and professional relationships, as well as identifying a personal mentor or coach.

That same weekend, four members attended the Wisconsin EDGE Conference in Manitowoc.

They were Ryanne Benz, Austin Baehman, Carly Grundman and Abby Wigglesworth.

The conference was a personal development conference designed especially for junior high and middle school students in the FFA organization.

EDGE stands for Experiencing, Discovering, Growth and Excellence, and the conference provided students with the knowledge and skills needed to set and achieve goals in all areas of their lives.

This year’s theme was “Building the Leader in You.”
