W-F track teams sixth at Little Chute

The Weyauwega-Fremont boys’ and girls’ track team each placed fifth Saturday, April 14, at the Little Chute Invitational.

The boys finished with 47 points, while the girls had 53.

Bryce Behn had the only first-place finish for the boys, as he tied with Little Chute’s Joe Van Grinsven and D.J. DeValk with a high jump height of 5 feet, 10 inches.

Mike Howe placed third in the discus and fourth in the shot put; Corey Zeutzius placed fourth in the 800-meter run; the 3,200-meter relay team placed fourth; Mason Osman took fifth in the long jump and eighth in the triple jump; the 800-meter relay team finished fifth; Jacob Radtke placed sixth in the discus and eighth in the shot put; and the 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams placed sixth.

Lizzy Abhold won the girls’ discus toss with a throw of 107 feet, 6 inches, and also placed fifth in the shot put.

Also placing were Ellen Schroeder, second in the 1,600-meter run and third in the 800; Megan Young, second in the 400-meter dash and fourth in the 200-meter dash; Dani Austreng, fifth in the high jump; the 400 and 1,600 relay teams, sixth; and the 800 relay team, seventh.
