Verlea N. “Toots” Morey, age 76 of 3601 E. Maria Dr. Stevens Point, passed away Sunday April 8, 2012 surrounded by family at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. She was born May 18, 1935 in Waupaca. Daughter of the late Clifford and Audrey (Cady) Holman. Her marriage to Jerome Morey took place on Nov. 26, 1955 at St. Stephens Catholic Church. He survives. As a young woman she was employed at St. Michaels Hospital. The couple also owned and operated Morey’s Bar in Stevens Point for over 50 years until their retirement in 2005. A memorial service was held on Friday April 13, 2012 at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point WI.
