Hagen, Leroy M.

Leroy M. Hagen, 82, of Iola, died Friday, April 27th, 2012 at Iola Living Assistance. Leroy was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on July 28, 1929, the son of the late Alfred and Cora (Hole) Hagen. He married Donna Madson on July 11, 1953 at the Iola United Methodist Church. Leroy worked as a foreman for SNE; formerly known as Vetter’s Windows in Stevens Point. He loved to do carpentry work and he also worked as a grave digger in the Iola and Rosholt area for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Donna of Iola; daughters: Connie (Mike) Coppock of Weyauwega; Kathleen (David) Hanson of Waupaca; son, Kevin (Cindy) Hagen of Ogdensburg; brother, Vernon (Madeline) Hagen of Stevens Point. Leroy was further survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service was held at the Iola United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 30th, with Reverend Dale Eggert officiating. Visitation was on Sunday from 4-7 PM. at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola and at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM. until the time of the service. en great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Patrick, Philip, Ana, Indiana, Allison, Samantha, Garrett, Grant, Raeya, Mikayla, Ella, Elaina and Tara. One brother, Wayne (Charlotte) Niemuth, Richland, WA; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Niemuth, Waupaca, WI, and Jean Wallace, Janesville, WI. Many nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde and Harry, her parents, Leo and Marie, and two brothers, Wallace Niemuth and Robert Niemuth. A funeral service was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 420 Park Ave, Wild Rose at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 2, 2012 with the Reverend Dale Bahls officiating. Friends and family called at the church on May 2 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to St Paul Lutheran Church. A private family burial will take place in the Belmont Cemetery, rural Amherst, at a later date. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
