A battle of two undefeated teams in the Bay Conference ended with New London topping Hortonville 3-2.
Both softball teams played some of their best ball for fans who took in the game on Friday, May 4.
Emily Gorges was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits, one walk, and notching five strikeouts. Heather Dorn pitched for the Polar Bears, allowing three hits, five walks and five strikeouts.
New London got on the scoreboard in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Kelsey Fassbender. New London’s second run came on a throwing error.
The Bulldogs scored the deciding run in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Shelby Sommer.
