Duenberger, Lorge receive Lioness scholarships

Debbie Duenberger and Creation Lorge received $500 scholarships from the Iola Lioness Club.

The Lioness scholarships are available annually to any nontraditional student who resides in the Iola-Scandinavia area.

Scholarship Committee Chair Shirley Erickson presented the checks to Duenberger and Lorge at a recent meeting of the Iola Lioness.

Lorge is a student at the College of the Menomonee Nation, Keshena, and is

pursuing a registered nurse degree. She is currently employed as certified nursing assistant at the Iola Rehabilitation Center.

Lorge expresses appreciation to the Iola Lioness Club for the gift of this scholarship which will help her continue her dream of becoming a nurse.

Duernberger is a Fox Valley Technical College student pursuing an associate degree as a medical administrative professional. She will graduate in May. Duernberger is doing a medical internship with Iola Living Assistance, and also works part-time at Riverside Medical Center as a registrar in the Emergency Room Department.

She has lived in the Iola-Scandinavia area for 18 years and enjoys the peacefulness and serenity of the area. Duernberger extends gratitude appreciation to the Iola Lioness Club for the scholarship, which will help her continue her educational endeavors.
