In May 3 letters, I read I should be more open minded, like liberals are.
OK, I’ll consider it.
Next day I come in for lunch and turn on TV. I see Tucker Carlson suggesting we should not be discriminating on race, including in college admission. Maybe we should end racial preferences.
Before he can finish his thought, Jehmu Greene, another guest, says, “OK, white boy” and talks over him so he can’t be heard. How open minded and positive.
Next, I think about our president, who said, “I’m just getting this car out of the ditch, and you can come along, but you (Republicans) need to get in the back and be quiet.”
And again, “I don’t mind cleaning this mess up, but I don’t want to hear from the folks who made the mess.”
And I recall how, during a discussion, he cut John McCain off with, “I won.”
Want to discuss climate science with President Barack Obama?
His answer is, “The discussion is over. The science is settled.”
Remember Obama, when his pal, Professor Gates, was arrested?
“We don’t know what happened, but we do know the police ated stupidly.”
That’s open minded.
I recall a Congresswoman in a big hat shouting, “Trayvon was hunted down and shot like a rabid dog.” And Al Sharpton flying to Florida, bullhorn in hand to proclaim Trayvon was “murdered,” all with no facts to go on.
Nothing but liberal open mindedness.
You may recall Larry Summers was president of an Ivy League college until during a faculty meeting he made a fatal mistake.
On the question of why women are not equally represented in the science and math departments, he suggested we might consider there are differences between men and women.
For this breach of orthodoxy, he was driven out of the university by the open minded liberal faculty.
This reminds me of the Duke lacrosse case, when the liberal open minded Duke faculty convicted the team of rape, with no trial.
No matter how many government studies show Headstart doesn’t work (all gains made are lost within one year), liberals will never admit it doesn’t work.
They are impervious to facts.
