Hutchinson House to open June 30

A presentation about Waupaca’s historic Hutchinson House is slated for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Holly History and Genealogy Center, 200 N. Main St.

Barbara Fay Wiese, curator of the Hutchinson House Museum, will talk about the Hutchinson family’s role in Waupaca history and describe some of the artifacts on display at the Hutchinson House.

The public is encouraged to bring any family keepsakes and share family stories of their own for show and tell.

Located in South Park, Hutchinson House was built in 1854 and represents a well-preserved example of New England style architecture.

Due to the construction on South Main Street, the Hutchinson House will not be open to the public this summer until June 30. It will remain open until Sept. 30.

The museum is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and summer holidays.

For more information about becoming a tour guide for the museum, call Julie Hintz at 715-256-9980 or Wiese at 715-258-3996.
