Kempf, Clarice A.

Clarice A. Kempf, age 88, of West Bloomfield, passed away at her home, on Thursday, June 07, 2012. She was born on November 10, 1923, in the Town of Bloomfield, the daughter of the late Henry and Genivive (Pitt) Borchardt. On November 22, 1941, Clarice married Werner Kempf. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2006. Clarice was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield. She worked for Zwicker Knitting Mill in Waupaca for 27 years, and also waitressed at several area restaurants for many years. Clarice was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 391 in Fremont. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and going to the casino. Clarice is survived by a son, Randall (Karen), Fremont; a daughter, Rosemary (Robert) Cartwright, Pine River; six grandchildren: Laura Kempf, Timothy (Shellie) Kempf, Brian (Lisa) Sajdak, Julie (Matt) Erickson, Mark (Julie) Cartwright and James (Karin) Cartwright; 11 great-grandchildren, a brother, Arden (Marilyn) Borchardt, Neenah; a sister-in-law, Lila Kempf, Waupaca; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Rachel; four brothers, and a sister. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, N6412 State Rd. 49, West Bloomfield. Burial is in East Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. A memorial fund has been established for Christ Lutheran Church and ThedaCare Hospice.
