Richard B. Brown of Waupaca, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at his home. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on March 15, 1937 to the late Clarence and Virginia (Prevo) Brown. On December 15, 1990 he married Madlyn. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the Army. Richard was a lifelong over the road truck driver. He retired from Carew Concrete in Appleton. Richard enjoyed camping, family get togethers, visiting with friends, playing rummy and aggravation and working on his pickup truck. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Madlyn; children: Rick (Steph) Brown and Cindy (Trayson) Harmon both of Vancouver, WA; Julie (Al Schacht) Meyer of Amherst; Dale Meyer of Almond and Rich Brodnan of Waupaca; grandchildren: Ashley, Candice, Hailey, Brady, Jaxton and Mindy; great grandchild, Kellen; brother and sister: Jim (Lee) Brown of AZ; Kay (Jim) Ramsey of NY; dear friends, Cheryl and Terry Abbott; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, David Brown. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 12 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation was on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated for the American Cancer Society.
