No budget, no pay

U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble, R-Wis., and Jim Cooper, D-Tenn., are leading what they call a bipartisan, grassroots effort to get Congress to act responsibly and do their job. One aspect of their effort is a “No Budget, No Pay” bill they hope to bring into law.

Naturally, they are receiving opposition from the leaders of the House and Senate.

This is a perfect example of what is wrong in Washington, D.C. and in state governments. Politicians and lawmakers are so entrenched in their political party’s agenda that they have left this country hanging on the edge of a precipice. They have abandoned common sense, compromise and the American people for the sake of their own political careers and their party’s agenda. They are failing America and they need to be held responsible. This is a great start but the voters need to get involved.

Please help this effort to inspire Congress to do its job by contacting your congressional representatives and tell them you want them to support No Budget, No Pay. You can also contact other Congressmen and let them know where you stand. It takes less than one minute to google “congressional representatives by zip code” to get the contact information you need.
