Waupaca County Sheriff’s report

? June 25 – An employee of Walmart in New London reported that someone broke into her car while it was parked at work and stole her purse.

? June 25 – A purse was stolen from a parked car on the E8400 block of Huntley Road, New London.

? June 25 – A break-in was reported at a home on the 1500 block of Cedarhurst Drive, New London.

? June 24 – A resident of the 500 block of High Street, Waupaca, reported that several items of clothing had been stolen from her laundry line. She then saw a neighbor wearing one the items in a photo on Facebook.

? June 24 – A resident of the 700 block of School Street, Waupaca, reported the theft of a 6-week-old puppy from her home.

? June 23 – Prescription medications were reported stolen from the E2500 block of Crystal Road, Waupaca.

? June 22 – A resident of the E2200 block of Spencer lake Road, Waupaca, reported the theft of $60.

? June 22 – A burglary was reported at a home on the 8700 block of River Trail, Fremont.

? June 22 – A touch-screen head unit worth $1,800 was reported stolen from a parked car at the E4900 block of Haire Road, Weyauwega.

? June 22 – Several Playstation games were reported stolen from a home on the E6700 block of Kutchenriter Road, Clintonville.

? June 22 – A wallet was reorted stolen from the N2400 block of Larson Road, Waupaca.

? June 20 – A bottle of prescription drugs was reported stolen from a parked car at the N1300 block of Stratton Lake Road, Waupaca.

? June 20 – A burglary was reported at a home on the 700 block of Waupaca Street, New London.

? June 16 – A silver 2007 Chevy Malibu was reported stolen from the 700 block of South River Road, Fremont.

? June 16 – A burglary was reported at Tom Thumb Mini Golf Course, Whispering Pines Road, Waupaca. Someone attempted to steal the cash register.

? June 15 – Two burglaries were reported on the N1700 block of Sue Lane, Waupaca.

? June 14 – A laptop computer was reported stolen from the N2000 block of King Road, Waupaca.

? June 13 – A break-in was reported at the N3000 block of Collom Road, Weyauwega. Medications were taken.

? June 12 – A wallet was reported stolen from a parked vehicle at the E2200 block of Woodridge Drive, Waupaca.

? June 12 – A burglary was reported stolen at the N1900 block of Evanswood Road, Weyauwega.

Traffic

? June 12 – A three-vehicle crash at 7 a.m. in the town of Fremont injured three people.

Cindy L. Reed Eddy, 55, Waupaca, was eastbound in the fast lane on U.S. Highway 10 when she signaled, then slowed to turn left into an emergency vehicle turnaround.

Laura L. Waite, 38, Waupaca, was also eastbound and unable to slow down in time to avoid rear-ending Eddy’s vehicle.

Waite’s vehicle then went into the slow lane and struck a Waupaca ambulance driven by Daniel M. McCourt, 48, Waupaca.

Both vehicles driven by Waite and Reed Eddy overturned, while the ambulance landed on its passenger side.

Waite was transported to Riverside Medical Center. Reed Eddy was treated by paramedics at the scene and released. The ambulance was transporting a non-emergency patient to the Fox Valley at the time of the crash. The driver suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital. No injuries were reported for the patient.

? June 13 – Robert J. Hafkey, 36, New London, was injured in a crash at 9:30 p.m. in the town of Mukwa.

According to the accident report, Hafkey fell asleep at the wheel while he was northbound on Weyauwega Road, drifted into the southbound shoulder, overcorrected and spun out of control and into the northbound ditch where the vehicle rolled over.

? June 15 – Cynthia L. Burke, 28, Clintonville, suffered incapacitating injuries as a result of a crash at 2 p.m. in the town of Bear Creek.

Burke was southbound on U.S. Highway 45 when a semi truck driven by James R. McConnell, 44, Berlin, rear-ended her subcompact car after coming off a curve in the highway.
