Finger, Maude

Maude (McClone) Finger, age 78, Bear Creek, on a beautiful July 2 morn peacefully rose to heaven to meet God, her husband Duane, family and friends. She was born at home in the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County April 15, 1934 to the late Edward and Maude (McGinty) McClone. She was a graduate of Washington High School in New London. In 1953, she married Duane Finger of Bear Creek. Together they raised six children: Mark Finger, Madison; David (Kim) Finger, New London; Sue (George) Guerin, New London; Brian (Lori) Finger, Bear Creek; Dennis (Sandy) Finger, Clintonville and Julie (Darold) Seefeldt, Bear Creek and daughter-in-law, Mary Turba, De Pere. Aside from her children, she is survived by her loving 19 grandchildren: Kate (Jath) Bautista, Joe (Shannon) Finger, Tony Finger, Christine Finger, Dan (Tara) Finger, Mark Leavitt, Eric Leavitt, Jared Leavitt, Doug (Cari) Guerin, Tim (Leah) Guerin, Mike (Angie) Buchholz, Jessi (Danny) Blue, Mack Huebner, Tyler Finger, Sean Finger, Ryan Finger, Justin Finger, Nicole Seefeldt and Matthew Seefeldt and 15 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Marion Lorge, Bear Creek; Elaine (Jim) Loughrin, New London; brother Raymond McClone, King and dear sister-in-law Joyce McClone, Neenah. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Sister Michele Finger, Verna (Jim) Stilen, Eunice (Jim) Lehman, Joan (Leroy) Christenson and Karen (Don) Sorenson. She is further survived and loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and very many friends who all held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane, brother Edward McClone, brother-in-law Victor Lorge, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Leon and Carol Finger, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bernice and Sonny Vollmer and nephew Devon Finger. Maude was a very giving, caring and active lady in her church of St. Mary’s, Bear Creek in the St. Therese Thrift Shop and Christian Mothers, the lives of her large extended family and the lives of her many dear friends and neighbors as well as her community. Her family deeply thanks the many relatives and dear friends who were there for her during this sudden end of her wonderful life. Further thanks are given to the staffs of the ThedaCare facilities and St Joseph Residence for their professional, special care and assistance. Funeral Mass for Maude will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London from 4-8 p.m. and also at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
