Krueger, Irene P.

Irene P. Krueger, age 82, of Clintonville passed away Friday evening, June 29, 2012 at the St. Joseph Residence in New London. Irene was born on March 6, 1930 in New London as the daughter of the late Gustave and Louise (Thielke) Kutchenriter. She was raised in the Town of Union, Waupaca County and was later united in marriage to Alvin H. Krueger on May 17, 1952. The couple lived their entire married life in Clintonville where they were members of the St. Martin Lutheran Church. Alvin preceded his wife in death on October 13, 1979. Irene had many hobbies during her life. She loved dancing with her husband Alvin, listening to polka music, playing cards and bingo, cross-stitching, crafting, and puzzles. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Linda (Melvin) Ross, Omro, and Sharon (James) Bessette, New London; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Louis (Mert) Kutchenriter, Clintonville, and Arnold (Ruth) Kutchenriter, Milwaukee. Also, 2 brothers-in-law, Marvin Hoppe, Fredonia, and DeLyle Olson, Appleton. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvin, 3 sisters: Alice Ross, Rose Hoppe, and May Olson, and a brother Reuben Kutchenriter. Funeral services were held Tuesday July 3, 2012 at 11 AM at the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Interment followed at the Graceland Cemetery, also in Clintonville. Friends called at the church on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the services. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Irene’s family.
